Welcome...
to the new NPNsportscards.com. I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jeff Rockholt. I've been running npnsportscards.com since early 2006. I can't believe its been this long. For those of you who haven't been visiting the site since its start first a little background info.
The website started as the brain child of Barry Scott, (yes that Barry Scott). Barry started the site first under his own website, then moving it over to NPNsportscards.com in 2005. He started the site as a helpful tool for collectors to pool their resources and share NPN addresses. I joined Barry in Jan. 2006 to assist in updating the information on the site. Barry slowly lost interest in the hobby, and I took ownership of the site in Oct. 2006 full time.
Now we get to today, where the site has been combined with a blog. I've always wanted become more involved in the hobby in some way. I figured I had a couple of options, 1) Break 10 cases of 2010 Bowman Baseball, or 2) Start a blog. Since #1 would lead to a divorce, I went with #2. I probably won't post daily, but I would like the site to generate frequent visitors. I'll be sharing my thoughts on the major hobby happenings. The slant will lean towards baseball, since that's what I mostly collect. I'll try to cover some news items, (I need to figure out how to get on the PR e-mail distros), I'm going to attempt to talk to some industry figures on NPN related subjects, I'll do a few box break reviews, and finally I'll share things in the hobby that I find interesting.
I'm sure some of you are saying to yourselves, "I don't want to read this stupid guy's opinions, how do I get to the NPNs?" I still have you covered. You can get the the NPNs a number of ways. The links at the top of the screen will take you directly to the section you want just as before. Also, you can click the "Last Updated" link to the right to take you to the latest NPN additions. Finally if you are just dead set against reading the blog, go ahead and bookmark the NPN page directly.
I'd love to see your comments and suggestions for the site. Feel free to post comments to the blog entries, (be on your best behavior please). Also, if you see something that doesn't look quite right on the site, let me know by dropping me an e-mail.
Finally, I have a great group of visitors to the site that do a wonderful job keeping me updated with the latest NPNs. I can't do this alone. If you come across a NPN we don't have, send those over as well!

I love the site. Been coming to it for years! Probably have gotten a 100-200 free cards (except the cost of the stamp) over the years. Keep up the good work!
